How to Check if your Aadhaar is Linked to Your Bank Account?

You might have submitted your Aadhaar details to your bank but there is a possibility that it is not linked from misplacing of data or error in the linkage. The last date to link your bank account with Aadhaar is the 31st of March 2018.

 

If you want to avail any services from your bank, they are bound to ask you to link it to your account.

Here is a quick step by step guide on how to check your Aadhaar and bank account linking status.

Go to UIDAI's official website uidai.gov.in and click on "Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status."

Enter your Aadhaar number and the security code, then click on "Send OTP." You should receive the OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the six digit password in the space provided.

The final page should look like this. It states the name of the last bank account your Aadhaar was linked to.

Note

  • You can only check the status if your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar.
  • For bank accounts other than the last one, you will have to contact the bank directly.

  • If you do not link your bank account to Aadhaar, it will cease to be operational.
