UIDAI offers an online electronic KYC service to verify the identity of Aadhaar number holders. However, this online e-KYC method is not available to all agencies and may not be appropriate for some of the following reasons:

  • The agency must have the technical infrastructure to access online e-KYC services and deploy devices (as necessary)
  • For the online e-KYC, the resident may be required to provide biometrics.
