Alert! If This Is Not Done, You Will Not Receive Next PM Kisan Installment; Check Details

PM Kisan's next installment is expected to be released between February and March 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, on November 15, 2023.
Under this scheme, an amount worth over Rs 18,000 crore was released to over 8 crore farmers. An amount of Rs 2000 has been credited to the bank account of eligible farmers after the release of the latest installment. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme to provides financial support to all landholding farmers' families in the country to supplement their financial needs for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs. Under the Scheme, the entire financial liability towards the transfer of benefits to targeted beneficiaries will be borne by the Government of India.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, all landholding farmers' families are provided the financial benefit of Rs.6000 per annum per family payable in three equal installments of Rs.2000 each, every four months. However, PM Kisan beneficiaries may not receive the next installment of the PM-Kisan if the e-KYC is not completed.

PM Kisan next Installment

The PM Kisan website says, "eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on the PMKISAN Portal or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC."

According to the Economic Times report citing Agriculture Rajasthan website, E-KYC of 39580 farmers of the district is yet to be done, Aadhaar linking of 11566 farmers and land verification of 24007 farmers is still left. If this is not done, farmers will not get the benefit of the next installment.
If the pm Kisan beneficiaries fail to get the e-KYC done by January 31, they may become ineligible to receive the next installment of Rs 2000 in their bank account.

How to do eKYC
Note that eKYC is mandatory for PM Kisan registered farmers. Farmers can get their e-KYC done via thumb impression by visiting the nearest e-Mitra, CSC center and can also do e-KYC through their face by downloading the PM Kisan GOI app.

Modes of the eKYC
The three modes of eKYC available to the farmers of the PMKISAN scheme include:
(i) OTP Based e-KYC (available on PM-KISAN Portal and Mobile App)
(ii) Biometric-based e-KYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra (SSKs))
(iii) Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on PM KISAN Mobile app which is used by millions of farmers).
One should note that along with eKYC, seeding of Aadhaar with operational bank accounts is also required to receive next installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.

How to link Aadhaar with bank account by visiting your nearest ATM
Step 1: Visit the nearest ATM of your bank. Enter your 4-digit PIN once you swipe your debit card.
Step 2: Select the 'Services' option.
Step 3: Click on the Aadhaar Registration option in the 'Registrations' section.
Step 4: Select the kind of account (savings or current), enter the Aadhaar number, and click 'Ok'.
When the process is finished, you will receive a confirmation message on your registered phone number.
