Annual Life Certificate- 6 Ways for a Pensioner to Submit Jeevan Pramaan Patra

Citizens receiving a monthly pension from the Central Government are required to submit Proof Of Life or an Annual Life Certificate, also known as Jeevan Pramaan, to the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA) every year in order to maintain the flow and receive the pension without interruption. The Proof Of Life, also known as an Annual Life Certificate, is proof that the pensioner is alive, or, to put it another way, proof of existence. The government has made special provisions for senior citizens aged 80 and up, giving them extra time to submit their certificates beginning October 1. The government provides various options to make it easier for pensioners to submit life certificates. Here are six ways a pensioner can submit their annual life certificate digitally. How to submit an annual life certificate?

Jeevan Pramaan Portal

Pensioners can submit their annual life certificates using Jeevan Pramaan Portal. Pensioners must first download the Jeevan Pramaan application form and provide biometric data captured by UIDAI-mandated devices. The UIDAI keeps a list of all devices that can record a person's biometrics for the Jeevan Pramaan digital certificate.

India Post Payments Bank

The initiative "Doorstep Service for Submission of Digital Life Certificate by Postman," developed by the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) of the Department of Posts and Meity, was successfully implemented by the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare. A pensioner must download the "Postinfo APP" from the Google Play store to use this feature on a mobile device.

Doorstep banking

The Alliance, which is made up of 12 public sector banks and offers "Doorstep Banking" to its customers, also provides Doorstep Banking. PSB Alliance has made life certificate acquisition available under the guise of doorstep banking. A DSB representative will deliver the service to the pensioner's door. Download the doorstep banking mobile app from the play store and a pensioner can book the service using the Doorstep Banking (DSB) mobile app, the DSB official website, or the toll-free numbers 18001213721 and 18001037188.

Face authentication

Pensioners can also use the UIDAI Aadhaar-based Face Authentication technology to submit Life Certificates. A Digital Life Certificate can be created using any Android-based smartphone by taking a live snapshot of the retiree and uploading it online to the Jeevan Pramaan mobile application.

Postman at home

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) and the Department of Posts will launch the Doorstep Service for submitting the Digital Life Certificate via Postman in November 2020. To submit a life certificate using this service, a pensioner must first download the Postinfo App from the Google Playstore.

Signed by designated official

According to paragraph 14.3 of the CPAO-issued Scheme Booklet, a pensioner who submits a life certificate in the required format and with the required signatures is excused from attending in person. Annexure-I of the CPAO scheme handbook contains a list of designated officials who are authorised to sign life certificates. If a pensioner submits a life certificate form signed by a "designated authority," no personal appearance is required.
