PAN Card or Permanent Account Number Card is a unique identification containing 10-character alphanumeric identifier. The Indian Income Tax Department under the supervision of the Central Board for Direct Taxes issues PAN card to Indian citizens.

• Visit official website of NSDL and click at Online PAN Application option
• Now click at "New PAN for Indian Citizen (Form 49 or Form 49 A)" option on the homepage
• Now fill the necessary details such as name of child, parents' phone number along with e-mail address
• Choose the option "Category of Applicant" from dropbox list
• When you fill personal information, you need to fill demographic details such as state, district, locality, residence of parents, etc
• Upload all the necessary supporting documents
• When you are done with filling the application form, choose payment mode that may include demand draft, cheque, credit/debit card or net banking
• After confirmation, you need to click at Submit and it will give a reference number onscreen. The reference number will help in tracking the minor's application
• After completing the above steps, you will get PAN Card within 60 days of receiving the SMS. PAN Card will be sent by post to the address specified in the form
