Baby Steps To Identity – How To Enrol And Download Baal Aadhar
Since 2010, Aadhaar has become an integral part of our lives, serving as an identity card and a crucial tool for verification. To extend its reach, the government has introduced a new category for children under five years old, known as Baal Aadhaar or the Blue Aadhaar Card. Issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Baal Aadhaar is linked to the Aadhaar card of one of the parents.
Unlike a regular Aadhaar card, Baal Aadhaar does not require biometric data from the child. However, it includes essential details such as name, photograph, gender, date of birth, and the Aadhaar number of the parent or legal guardian.
