Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme: How to Apply Online for Rs. 1500 Monthly Allowance; Check Eligibility and Steps

West Bengal Assembly elections are around the corner, and the state's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, has applied for a master stroke to attract young voters by announcing a monthly allowance of Rs. 1,500 for unemployed youth under the Banglar Yuva Sathi Prakalpa. This is a new welfare initiative to provide financial support to job seekers across West Bengal.

Banglar Yuva Sathi Scheme

Unemployment is a major political issue in the state, and the West Bengal government claims that unemployment has declined significantly due to skill development initiatives, with around 40 lakh people trained and about 10 lakh placed in jobs.

The scheme was announced during the West Bengal Budget 2026-27 session, where the state government allocated Rs. 5,000 crore for its implementation.

All About the Yuva Sathi Scheme

The Banglar Yuva Sathi Prakalpa is a state-funded unemployment allowance scheme introduced by the government to provide temporary financial support to young people while they search for employment or prepare for competitive exams.

Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries will receive Rs. 1,500 per month, or Rs. 18,000 annually. The allowance will continue for up to five years or until the beneficiary secures employment, whichever comes earlier.
