In the aftermath of the Covid 19, when people are still reluctant to take public transport, to encourage travel by railways, Indian Railways has thought of a plan. As per the move, IRCTC shall offer discount on the tickets that are available post chart preparation. And here those booking tickets at such a stage will be entitled to get a discount of 10%. In an usual chart preparation is done four hours before the train departs from the source place and this discount facility can be availed by booking ticket until half an hour before train's departure.

And this discounting facility shall be available both offline as well as via online booking. Further this facility is available for all special trains of IRCTC including intercity chair car trains.
Notably, the IRCTC came up with its revamped platform that is operational since the start of January 2021.
