Digilocker- How to download UAN, PPO and Scheme Certificate?

Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced that members can now download important documents using the DigiLocker service. Members can access DigiLocker to download their UAN Card, Pension Payment Order (PPO), and Scheme Certificate. "All documents are available for download on DigiLocker," the organization's tweeted image stated. The UAN is an important document for salaried workers because it allows them to keep track of their various Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) accounts. At the same time, the Pension Payment Order (PPO) number is a unique 12-digit number that pensioners must have in order to receive their pension. As a result, the EPS Certificate is a document issued by the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) that contains information about the Provident Fund member's service.

It displays the employee's service details, including the number of years he has served, the employee's family details, and the member of the family who is eligible for a pension in the event of the member's death. EPFO manages a contributory provident fund, pension scheme, and insurance scheme for the organised sector's workforce.

The Employees Provident Fund Ordinance established the EPFO on November 15, 1951. It was later repealed and replaced by the Employees Provident Fund Act of 1952. DigiLocker is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as part of the digital India programme (MeitY). It seeks to empower citizens through access to authentic digital documents in the citizen's digital document wallet.

How to register on the DigiLocker website?

• Visit https://digilocker.gov.in/ for more information.
• Select the Sign-up option.
• Enter your mobile phone number or Aadhaar number.
• In the designated area, enter the OTP sent to your mobile number and click Continue. In order for this to happen, your mobile number must be linked to Aadhaar.
• Fill in the blanks with the following information: Name, birth date, gender, and email address. Your name, date of birth, and gender should match those on your Aadhaar card.
• Click the Submit button.
• Create a six-digit security PIN. This PIN will function as a password and will be required for all logins.
• After entering the security PIN, you will be automatically logged into your DigiLocker account.

How to download it?

• Navigate to the DigiLocker website or use your smartphone to download the DigiLocker app.
• Click UAN, enter your UAN number, and then click 'Get Document'.
• The information will be saved in the section for issued documents. You can then download the UAN card in PDF format from there.
• Download your PPO and Scheme Certificate using the same method.
