DigiLocker- How to Store Health Documents or Links with Ayushman Bharat?

Users of DigiLocker can now digitally store health records and link them to their 'Ayushman Bharat Health Account'. This service was made available to the public after DigiLocker, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's authentic documents exchange platform, successfully completed its second level of integration with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

As a result, users can now store and access health records on DigiLocker, such as vaccination records, doctor prescriptions, lab reports, hospital discharge summaries, and so on.

DigiLocker already had level 1 integration with ABDM, allowing its 13 crore users to create ABHA or Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts.

With the latest integration, users will be able to use DigiLocker as a Personal Health Records (PHR) app. In addition, ABHA holders can link their health records from various ABDM registered health facilities, such as hospitals and labs, and access them through DigiLocker.

The app also allows users to scan and upload old medical records.

Specific records can also be shared with ABDM-registered healthcare professionals.

DigiLocker has aided citizens and departments in shifting from paper-based processes to paperless processes, thereby contributing to the Hon'ble Prime Minister's vision of Digital India.
