Doorstep Banking- Here are Charges and Services Offered By SBI,HDFC, PNB, ICICI and Canara Bank

With growing concerns about data privacy and security, it is critical that you ensure the safety of your data, particularly biometrics, stored in your Aadhaar card. Security hackers and fraudsters can use these details to their advantage. Because of its importance, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has implemented a feature that allows users to easily lock and unlock biometric details.

What are the charges that banks charge for doorstep banking?

State Bank of India (SBI)

Eligibility-

  • Senior citizens over the age of 70, as well as people who are differently abled or infirm (those who have a medically certified chronic illness or disability), including the visually impaired.
  • Account holders who have completed the KYC process.
  • The account must be linked to a valid mobile phone number.
  • Account Holders who are single or married to a survivor or former survivor.
  • Accounts operated in collaboration are not available.
  • Accounts of minor significance.
  • Accounts that are not personal in nature.
  • Customers whose registered addresses are located within a 5-kilometre radius of the Home Branch.

Customers of SBI can request doorstep banking services. SBI charges Rs 60+GST per visit for non-financial transactions, whereas financial transactions cost Rs 100+GST. Each transaction's cash withdrawal and deposit is limited to Rs 20,000 per day. The shipment would be made as soon as possible, but no later than T+1 working day (holidays excluded).

HDFC Bank

Eligibility-

  • Customers must be Native Americans.
  • Customers must have an existing HDFC Bank account.
  • Customers' KYC information must be synced with their bank account.
  • Senior citizens over the age of 70 are eligible for DSB services.
  • For customers with disabilities, HDFC Bank also provides Doorstep Banking.

Senior citizens who have a registered phone number can request home delivery by dialling HDFC Phone Banking. The maximum cash delivery limit per withdrawal for HDFC Bank customers will be Rs. 25,000, with a minimum of Rs. 5000. Doorstep Banking Services are provided free of charge to senior citizen account holders aged 70 and up. Customers under the age of 70 must pay the following fees:

  • Cash pickup costs $200 per call, plus taxes.
  • Cash delivery costs $200 per call, plus taxes.
  • Pick-up of instruments: $100 per call, plus taxes.

Requests received by 3 p.m. on Day 0 will be processed on the first working day. According to the HDFC Bank website, requests received after 3 p.m. will be handled on a best-effort basis on Day 1 or Day 2.

Punjab National Bank (PNB)

Senior citizens over the age of 70, as well as those who are differently abled or infirm, will be able to use PNB Doorstep Banking Services. Currently, the Bank provides DSB services (DSBS) to senior citizens and people with disabilities through its branches within a 5-kilometer radius of a bank. PNB will charge Rs 100 + GST* for non-financial transactions and Rs 100 + GST for financial transactions.

Kotak Mahindra Bank

  • Senior citizen: Anyone over the age of 60.
  • Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights, and Full Participation) Act of 1995 defines a differently abled person.
  • This service is only available to eligible active SA customers and will be provided at the customers' registered residence address.

  • Senior Citizenship (more than 70 years of age)
  • People who are differently abled or infirm (having medically certified chronic illness or disability)
  • People who are visually impaired

Savings Bank account holders can use the DSB function only through Customer Care. Customers may submit requests on any day, excluding bank holidays. The bank will only provide these services to the customer at their registered home or business address. There are no fees associated with using the DSB facility.

Customers can access the DSB facility through our Customer Care by dialling the registered mobile number. Our Customer Care Executive will gladly provide the necessary information and assist with the request's onboarding.

Canara Bank

Customers can obtain DSB through one of three channels: call centre, mobile app, or DSB web portal. Except for Minors, attached, blocked, and non-KYC-compliant accounts, DSB services are available to all individual category customers. Service charges per transaction are Rs 75.00 plus GST, for a total of Rs 88.50.
