EPFO Unveils This Update For Women Members On The Occasion of Women's Day

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), a statutory body under the Government of India's Ministry of Labour and Employment, has urged establishments to facilitate 100 percent e-nomination of their women employees in order for them to be recognised and rewarded on Women's Day, which is on March 8, 2022. Establishments that have filed an e-nomination for December 2021 and January 2022 are eligible for this declaration, according to EPFO.

EPFO has said in a Tweet that "On this #InternationalWomensDay, we urge #Women members to file #eNomination and empower #family and assure them #SocialSecurity."

EPFO is commemorating 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,' and the organisation has urged women members to file e-nominations today in order to empower their family and ensure social security for them. According to the EPFO, e-nomination is required for online payment of PF, pension, and Employees' Deposit-Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) up to Rs 7 lakh to eligible family members. The EPFO further stated that nominations can be amended at any time, but it is mandatory post marriage. To register an e-nomination, simply a self-declaration is necessary, with no documentation or approval from the employer.

Steps to file e-nomination online

EPFO members can update their EPF and EPS nominations online. EPF members, according to EPFO, can register new nominations to modify current EPF/EPS nominations.

• Visit https://epfindia.gov.in/ and click on "For Employees" under the 'Services' section.
• Now click on "Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)" on the "For Employees" page.
• Now log in with your UAN and Password and go to the 'Manage' section.
• Click on 'e-Nomination' and on the "Provide Details" page, enter the details required.
• Click on 'Save' to declare your self-declaration.
• Now click on "Add Family Details" and enter nomination details.
• Click on "Save EPF/EDLI Nomination" and then click on 'e-sign' to generate the one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.
• Enter the OTP and click on 'Submit' to finish the process.
