The waiting periods and long halts at toll plazas for toll payment used to be the most frustrating part of travelling. Thanks to FASTag, everything is now digital. Now, you can make payments with the FASTag without any fuss, and there is no need to stop your vehicle to pay in cash because everything is digital with the FASTag.

FASTag Recharge Via YONO: Here's How You Can Recharge FASTag Using SBI YONO App

The FASTag is an electronic toll collection system that collects toll payments for vehicles automatically. FASTags, which are operated by the National Highway Authority India (NHAI), utilise the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to allow toll payments to be made directly from a linked prepaid or savings account. It is fitted to the vehicle's windscreen and allows payment without the need to stop you at toll booths for cash transactions. This feature not only helps to reduce the amount of time people have to wait at toll plazas around the country but also helps make the travel experience smooth.

If you've been using the FASTag for a long, you're probably aware of the fact that it is a prepared service and you need to recharge it regularly. Here, we look at the SBI YONO FASTag recharge process. The FASTag can be recharged using the YONO App by bank customers. It should be emphasised that the system is interoperable, and the same SBI FASTag can be used across all plazas in the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program.
