There are times of need when we need money urgently for unforeseen incidents or emergencies such as a medical emergency or job loss. In such cases, we face many problems that impact our lives. We start looking for loans. However, you will not have to take out a loan or borrow money from anyone if you so desire; you will be able to use your own money in times of need. It may seem impossible, yet it is possible.
You can withdraw money from your provident fund and use them to fulfil your needs. EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) is, as you are aware, one of the world's major social security organisations in terms of clientele and financial activities. The government had announced that in an emergency, you can withdraw a part of your Provident Fund. Under this, you can withdraw the advance PF balance from the EPF account in which 3 months (Basic Salary + DA) or up to 75 per cent of the total amount can be withdrawn.

How to withdraw PF Money From EPFO:
Step 1: Visit the EPFO portal at https://unifiedportalmem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface.
Step 2: To log in enter your UAN number and password and captcha for verification.
Step 3: Click on the option of online services.
Step 4: From here you have to select Claim (Form-31, 19 & 10C).
Step 2: Then a screen will open which will be the claim screen. Now enter the last 4 digits of your bank account number. Then click on YES.
Step 5: After this, you will be asked to sign the certificate.
Step 6: When the certificate is signed then you have to go to Proceed for Online Claim.
Step 7: After this, you will see some options in the drop-down menu to select the claim you require under the tab 'I Want To Apply For'.
Step 8: Now enter the amount you want to withdraw and upload the scanned copy of the cheque.
Step 9: After that enter your address. Then the option of get Aadhaar OTP will come in front of you, on which you will have to click.
Step 10: After this, an OTP will be received on your registered number. Enter it and click on Claim.
Note - You will receive money in your bank account after your employer accepts your withdrawal request. The money is normally credited to the bank account within 15-20 days.
