Govt Announced Single-Window Portal for Pensioners Across India - Check Benefits, link and other Details

The government has announced that all pension portals, such as Pension Disbursing Bank portals, ANUBHAV, CPENGRAMS, CGHS, and others, will be integrated into a single-window in the near future. Union Minister Jitendra Singh stated that the new Single- Window Portal for Pensioners will make life easier for the elderly. The newly created "Integrated Pensioners' Portal" (https://ipension.nic.in) is likely to alleviate pensioners' concerns.

The task of integrating the SBI and Canara Bank Pension Seva Portals with the Bhavishya portal has been completed. With this integration, pensioners can now access their pension slip, the status of their Life Certificate submission, and Form-16 via the Integrated Pensioners' Portal. The Integrated Pensioners' Portal will include all 18 pension disbursing banks.

Benefits-

  • Pensioners will now have access to a variety of services through a single portal, including:
  • Bank change
  • submission of life certificate
  • Death certificate of pensioners
  • Pension slip and retrieval of pension slip
  • Income tax deduction data/form 16
  • Pension receipt information and the websites of Pension Disbursing Banks.

Dr. Jitendra Singh stated at a Bankers Awareness Workshop in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, that the Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) will look after not only serving/retiring employees but will also work for the Ease of Living of our pensioners, and the Digital Life Certificate is another step in that direction.

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an Aadhar-based scheme for online submission of digital life certificates, Jeevan Pramaan, in November 2014 to ensure transparency and ease of living for pensioners while submitting their life certificates. The Minister stated that on November 22, the Pension Department launched a nationwide Digital Life Certificate through Face Authentication campaign, which resulted in 30 lakh pensioners submitting their life certificates digitally.

The minister went on to say that initially, DLCs were submitted using biometric devices, and later, the Department collaborated with MeitY to develop the landmark Face-Authentication Technology-based system based on UIDAI Aadhaar software, which made it possible to give DLC from any Android-based smart phone. This groundbreaking technology has reduced pensioners' reliance on external biometric devices and made the process more accessible and affordable to the masses by leveraging biometric systems available on smartphones, according to Singh.
