How to register your phone number for HDFC Bank Balance Enquiry services?
1) Through Internet Banking:
- Log in to your HDFC online banking account.
- Click on 'Register for Balance Check'.
- Fill out the required details such as debit/credit card number, account number, mail id, and phone number.
- Click the 'Submit' button. Your phone number will be registered for HDFC Balance Check services within 24 hours.
2) Through SMS:
HDFC account holders can also register their number for Balance Check by sending a message to 5676712 in this format:
REGISTER Customer ID> Last 5 Digits of Account Number> to 5676712 from their mobile number.
Checking HDFC Account Balance Check Through Netbanking
- Visit HDFC Bank's official website (https://www.hdfcbank.com/).
- In the top-right corner of the page, click the Login button.
- Under the Personal Login option, select 'Net Banking'.
- Select 'Continue to Login'
- Enter your Customer ID and Password. Go to the 'My Accounts' section.
- Click 'Check Account Balance' to track your HDFC bank balance.
HDFC Bank Balance Check through ATM
Users can also use their HDFC Debit Card to check their account balance at the local ATM. Here are the steps that must be followed:
- Visit the nearby HDFC Bank ATM.
- Enter your ATM Card PIN to get access to your account.
- Go to the 'Banking' option and select 'Balance Enquiry'.
- The ATM will display the available balance on the screen. The ATM machine will also generate a printed receipt with the available balance details.

- Soon, the user will receive their HDFC bank balance on the registered phone number.
- HDFC Balance Check Through SMS Banking
- For HDFC Bank account balance inquiry by SMS, account holders can easily opt to send an SMS and check the account balance. To do an HDFC balance inquiry, account holders will be required to send an SMS "bal" to 5676712.
Check HDFC Bank Balance through Passbook
- HDFC Bank provides a passbook to all its account holders at the time of account opening. Accountholders can easily update their passbook to check their HDFC Bank account balance instantly. To update the HDFC Bank passbook, account holders will be required to visit their nearest bank branch. HDFC Bank passbook contains all the debit and credit transactions.
- UPI is another way you can easily check your balance. To check your balance, you must first link your bank account to your preferred UPI app.

- Open your UPI app on your phone
- Choose the 'Check Balance' or 'Check Bank Balance' option
