The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and HDFC Life have collaborated to provide the first - UPI 123PAY. This is an exclusive voice-based premium payment service that assists HDFC Life policyholders in streamlining the premium payment process.

The UPI 123PAY payment method employs a pre-programmed IVR (Interactive Voice Response). It allows customers to conduct financial transactions with or without an internet connection. This service is available in a number of regional languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kannada, and Tamil.
The process is simple: a customer must make a secure phone call to the UPI number 080 4516 3571 and complete the UPI onboarding formalities. Once this is completed, they will be able to begin trading. This service will also allow HDFC Life policyholders who are not used to digital payments to manage their policies with a single IVR call.
In collaboration with NPCI and Ubona, the UPI 123Pay service will allow policyholders across the country to make secure and easy payments through this IVR-based service.
UPI 123PAY is a voice-based payment feature developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and launched by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to increase financial service digital penetration. What is UPI123Pay?
UPI 123PAY is an instant payment system for feature phone users which allows them to use the Unified Payments Interface payment service safely and securely. Feature phone users can conduct several financial transactions using UPI 123PAY, based on four technological options. The four technological options are IVR (interactive voice response) numbers, app functionality in feature phones, a missed call-based approach, and proximity sound-based payments
How to set the UPI Pin on UPI123 on a feature phone?
- The customer must dial the IVR number.
- By clicking on the language number, you can select the language.
- Choose to register your bank account.
- Enter the debit card information.
- Now, Enter the UPI PIN.
