How Pensioners Can Retrieve Their PPO No. Using Bank A/c No.Or Member ID?
Pension Payment Order or PPO is an important 12-digit unique number or code that facilitates pensioners of Employees' Pension Scheme (EPS) in getting their due pension after retirement. Also when completing the formalities in respect of availing pension i.e. submitting life certificate year on year, pensioners need to mandatorily produce this PPO number. This number is indeed allotted by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
After an employee retires from an establishment, the EPFO in a correspondence gives out all such details including PPO or pension payment order, provident fund and pension disbursement plan. And now, in a situation if the pensioner has forgotten his or her PPO or wishes to retrieve the same he or she can get it using either the bank account number linked to the EPS or submit member ID i.e. the pensioner's PF number provided by the EPFO.
