Credit cards differ from cash cards and charge cards in that they offer significant benefits to cardholders, such as auto debit. From OTT subscriptions to monthly broadband bills, there are numerous expenses in our modern lifestyle that necessitate recurring payments on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. It becomes tiresome to remember all of the renewal dates and make separate payments for each of them. An auto debit solves this problem by automatically transferring funds on a predetermined date to pay recurring bills such as home mortgage EMIs, property loans, vehicle loans, utility bills, credit card bills, and so on. Credit cardholders who sign up for an auto debit service are eligible for significant benefits.
What is an Auto Debit Payment Facility?
Under the Auto Debit service, we would present your payment transaction to your registered bank on your behalf on your payment due date, and the debit would then be executed from your bank account. You are no longer required to use the traditional methods of writing a check to the recipient of funds or going through the time-consuming process of manually paying by entering the supplier's or service provider's bank details. When entering long bank account numbers, this feature eliminates the possibility of typing errors. Almost all banks in India, whether public or private, offer automatic debit payments.
Benefits of Automatic Debit Payments
Time-Saving:
You can ensure that recurring credit card payments are made from your account on a consistent basis, saving you a lot of time each month.
Avoid Late Fee:
Many vendors charge a penalty if you pay after the due date. You can save money on fines, penalties, and interest by taking advantage of this service.
Convenience:
This facility is a modern convenience. It is the most convenient method in today's world, where most platforms require weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly subscription fees.
Reduced Risk:
Because no one else can misuse the payment, automatic debit from a bank account reduces the risk of identity theft to negligible.
Flexibility:
You can use either of the two payment methods, TAD or MDA, with this facility. The letters 'TAD' and 'MDA' stand for the total amount due and the minimum due amount, respectively.
