Old Age Pension scheme

The Uttar Pradesh government is dedicated to safeguarding, caring for, and ensuring the welfare and well-being of its older and aged population. With an emphasis on coordinated action on the current and future needs of senior persons, the government works to create an environment where all Indians can age gracefully and live a life of dignity.

Features of the scheme-

In this scheme, senior citizens will be provided with Rs 500 monthly or on quarterly basis.
Senior citizens from below the poverty line can have the benefits of this pension scheme.
The pension amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries bank account.

Eligibility criteria-

• Must be a resident of uttar pradesh
• People having age of 60 or above can apply
• Must have annual income up to Rs 46080 in rural areas
• In urban areas annual income must be up to Rs 56460
• Must have his name registered in BPL list

Required documents-

• Passport size colured photograph
• ID proof ( aadhar card, voter card, Driving licence etc)
• Photocopy of bank passbook
• Copy of Income certificate
• Copy of Domicile certificate
• Copy of Birth certificate

How to apply for old age pension scheme-

• Go to the portal http://sspy-up.gov.in
• Click old pension
• Select Apply online
• Click on new entry form link
• Fill out all the mandatory details
• Upload all the documents
• Click save
• Now, registration slip with registration number will be generated
• Click on final submit
• At last take a print out of the final submitted page and attached documents for future reference.

How to track you application status

• Go to the portal http://sspy-up.gov.in
• Click on check application status online
• Login using your registration number and password
• Now, you will be able to check your application status
