Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is an Indian government-sponsored financial benefit programme for employees. The employee and the employer both contribute monthly to the employee's EPF account under this PF plan. Employees must contribute at least 12% of their base income. The employer is likewise required to contribute the same amount, namely 12% of the employee's base income.

How to check EPF member passbook online?

  • Visit https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php.
  • Choose 'e-Passbook' from the options.
  • Enter your UAN, password, and captcha information, then click 'Login'.
  • On the following page, the employee's Member ID will be displayed. Click on the Member ID of the account where they want to receive their PF statement.

How to check EPF claim status online

Through Member Portal

  • Visit Epfo member portal
  • Enter your UAN and Password
  • When you click on the 'Online Services' tab, a drop-down menu will appear.
  • Select 'Track Claim Status'.
  • On the screen, the status of your online withdrawal/transfer claim will be presented.

Through UMANG app

  • Download and open the Umang app.
  • Select "Employee Centric Services"
  • Select the "Track Claim" option.
  • Enter your UAN.
  • Click the 'Get OTP' button.
  • Enter the OTP and then click Submit.
  • All claims filed for the UAN will be displayed on the screen.

Through missed call

Employees can also check the status of their EPF claim by dialling 011-22901406 from their registered cellphone number or sending an SMS to get the status of their claim.

Through SMS

Employees can also send a message to verify the status of their EPF claim. SMS format: send 'EPFOHO UAN LAN' to 7738299899. UAN denotes your UAN number, and LAN denotes the language in which you wish to receive your response.
