How To Find Nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra Online?

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced the opening of 55 Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASK) on October 2, 2021, as part of a project to install 166 Aadhaar Seva Kendras in 122 cities throughout India. In addition, there are around 52,000 Aadhaar enrolment facilities maintained by banks, post offices, state governments, and other authorities. Over 70 lakh people have been served by these ASKs from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m throughout the week.

What is Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASK)?

Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASK) is nothing but a one-stop hub to avail all Aadhaar-related services. Indian residents can apply for dedicated Aadhaar enrolment and update services at these centers across all metro cities, all state capitals and Union Territories. Although UIDAI provides digital Aadhaar services on its website, in the digital era, residents who are not tech-savvy, such as senior citizens or residents from rural areas, Aadhaar Seva Kendras are a show stopper, as they provide a fully air-conditioned surrounding with pre-installed wheel-chairs to satisfy the elderly and physically-disabled residents in a friendly manner.

Any Indian citizen can go to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra to apply for Aadhaar Enrolment or to update Aadhaar demographic details, update Aadhaar biometric details, and also to download and print a digital format of Aadhaar Card. Any Indian citizen (even NRIs) can use these services at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra across the nation within the given time slot of 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m every day.

For residents who prefer to schedule an appointment in order to visit near ASK, they are provided with a token number prior to their visit, the ASK uses an online Appointment Management System (AMS), and an automated Token Management System (TMS) to serve residents in a token-wise system or numbering system.

How to book an appointment at Aadhaar Seva Kendra?

One can arrange an appointment at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra to avail services such as name update, Aadhaar enrollment, address update, mobile number update, email ID update, date of birth update, gender update, and biometric (Photo + Fingerprints + Iris) update by following the procedures stated below. Booking an appointment is a free-of-cost service and does not require your registered mobile number at the booking time and each resident is limited to four appointments per month.

• Visit https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/bookappointment.aspx and select your preference from 'Book an Appointment at UIDAI run Aadhaar Seva Kendra' or 'Book an Appointment at Registrar run Aadhaar Seva Kendra'.
• If you select the 'Book an Appointment at UIDAI run Aadhaar Seva Kendra' option, you need to confirm your city or location from the drop-down list and click on the 'Proceed to Book Appointment' option.
• Now you will be redirected to this page https://ask1.uidai.gov.in/ where you need to enter your service from Aadhaar Update or New Aadhaar.
• Now enter your mobile number, and CAPTCHA code.
• Now confirm your booking by verifying the OTP received on your mobile number.
• If you select the 'Book an Appointment at Registrar run Aadhaar Seva Kendra' option, click on the 'Proceed to Book Appointment' option and you will be redirected to this page https://ask.uidai.gov.in/#/ where you need to select your resident type from 'Indian Resident' or 'Non-Resident Indian'.
• Now enter your mobile number or email ID and enter the CAPTCHA code.
• You will now receive an OTP on your given credential and upon verifying the received OTP your appointment will be confirmed.

Charges applicable on Aadhaar services at Aadhaar Seva Kendras

A resident Indian must pay certain fees in order to use Aadhaar services at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra. Any relevant taxes are included in these charges and residents can make payments at the ASK's 'Cash Counter.' The charges are as follows, according to information from the UIDAI website.

• Aadhaar Enrolment: FREE
• Mandatory Biometric update for kids (at age 5 and 15 years): FREE
• Any Biometric update with or without Demographic Update: Rs 100
• Only Demographic update by residents: Rs. 50
• Download Aadhaar & Coloured Print: Rs. 30
