How To Get a Bank Job in India & Its Selection Process

Bank Clerk- Clerical jobs involve positions such as clerk, clerk-cum-cashier, typist, steno, agricultural clerks, data entry operators, and telephone operators

Bank PO- In this post selected applicants will be subject to probation, i.e. the student's performance is analysed and hired during the training period.

Bank Jobs Qualification:

Below are the eligibility criteria and qualifications of bank jobs for 12th pass and freshers.

• The applicant should be an Indian to apply for banking exam
• For clerical post, he/she must be a graduate and +2 with 60% or more marks.
• Applicant must have a minimum age of 18 years to a maximum of 28 years for clerical post
• Most of the banks have the eligibility criteria of 10 + 2 and the applicant's maximum age cap of 25. Moreover, in such situations, applicants will be recruited for a credential of outstanding practical knowledge.
• For Bank PO the applicant's must have a minimum age of 21 years and maximum of 30 years. Apart from this he/she must have a 55% - 60% marks from a recognized university. The mark percentage varies from bank to bank for this post.
• Applicant must have a basic knowledge of computer.

Bank Job Resume:

Before applying for a bank job you must prepare a standard resume with cover letter. Remember to mention the position of the jo you want to apply in your cover letter and referrals name if any. This shows you're not a random candidate and improves your chances to be selected. In a banking job, you must highlight your combination of hard skills, soft skills, abilities such as specific quantitative techniques and experience related to computer knowledge or any type of extra study-related courses. Bank Job Selection Process:

Any candidate with a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum of 26 years of the required degree shall be eligible to go through the written first of 2 hours. The written test contains Reasoning, Mathematics, Quantitative Aptitude, General English and General Awareness.

If the applicant passed the written test are selected for the interview process. The interview process is done through a test of 100 marks. A jury/committee of individuals from the Interview Board evaluates the applicant. The applicant is evaluated and measured on his way of speaking, his appearance, his intellect as he/she communicates, his / her temperament and the way he/she responds the questions, candidate's nature and the most critical of his / her suitability and the role that he/she is willing to work for. The candidate is assessed accordingly.
