No credit card? No Worries! You can still avail EMI facility on your SBI debit card. Major banks offer EMI on debit cards to make online shopping more convenient. In partnership with leading e-commerce sites, the feature has been rolled out. The service is only available to SBI's pre-selected customers. Debit Card EMI allows users to purchase anything regardless of their bank balance. When a person wants to buy something but doesn't have enough money, the option to "Pay Later in Easy Installments" comes in handy. SBI Debit Card EMI offers the same option of breaking down transactions of up to INR 8,000 into manageable monthly payments. You can easily convert your transactions to Easy EMIs with SBI Debit Card EMI at both POS and e-commerce portals (Flipkart and Amazon).

Step 1: Visit the offer page from https://onlineapply.sbi.co.in/personal-banking/sbi-flipkart
Step 2: Enter your mobile number and bank account number
Step 3: Click on check eligibility

How to check Debit Card eligibility with SMS?

To check your eligibility, SMS DCEMI to 567676 from your registered mobile no. to SBI

Step 1: Type DCEMI
Step 2: Send the message to 57575
You will be notified via SMS

Features of SBI Debit Card EMI Facility

  • Loan amount up to Rs 1 lakh
  • Flexible tenure options: 6/9/12/18 months
  • Applicable Rate of interest: 2-Yr MCLR + 7.50%
  • However, most of the Consumer Durable products are available at no cost EMI offered by Brands
  • There is no charge for processing. Prepayment penalty of 3% of the sum paid in advance.
  • Take advantage of the EMI facility up to three times within the cap and time span communicated via SMS/E-mail.
  • Within the specified limit, choose between Online EMI and DC EMI, or both.

How to Avail SBI Debit Card EMI Online?

Step 1: Select the product online
Step 2: Proceed to checkout
Step 3: Navigate to the Debit card EMI option on the payment page
Step 4: Select Debit card EMI
The amount will be automatically determined. Everything you have to do now enters the tenure.
Step 5: Proceed button.
Step 6: In SBI Login Page, fill in your Internet Banking or Debit Card credentials.
Step 7: Accept the terms and conditions

How to Avail SBI Debit card EMI at POS?

Step 1: Purchase your product,
Step 2: Swipe your SBI Debit Card on the POS Machine
Step 3: Select Brand EMI and then choose the option of Bank EMI.
Step 4: Enter the desired amount and repayment tenure
The POS machine at the merchant store determines whether or not you are registered for Debit Card EMI. Also, whether or not the amount is within the pre-approved cap.
Step 5: Enter your debit card PIN and Click 'OK'.
Your loan amount will be booked and POS will receive a successful message.

lIf your total pre-approval cap is Rs 1 Lakh, you can convert your transaction into EMI up to three times within that limit.

Charges

The merchant will charge a nominal transaction fee of Rs 2 that will be collected upfront through your Debit card. On the irregular number, a penalty interest of 2% per month will be paid. Failure to follow standing instructions due to insufficient account balance would result in a penalty fee. Prepayment of EMIs in full or in part, as well as account closure before the end of the period, will result in prepayment charges of 3% on the prepaid number.
