How To Submit Digital Life Certificate Online Using AadhaarFaceRd App?

The government of India recently launched a face recognition app to felicitate pensioners to get a digital life certificate. The new service is an Aadhaar-enabled technology powered by the UIDAI. The development came in response to making getting a life certificate easy for pensioners without visiting physically every year to submit their life certificate.

This new and unique face recognition technology will ensure an easy and smooth process of getting a digital life certificate or Jeevan Pramaan Patra at home. Seeing the number of pensioners in the country, "Face Recognition Technology" will benefit crores of Pensioners across the country in providing Digital Life Certificates by simply using a Mobile App.

Requirements

Before moving forward, please note the minimum requirements for mobile phones to run Jeevan Pramaan face application (AadhaarFaceRd) are as follows:

1. Android 7.0 (SDK 24) or greater
2. RAM - 4+ GB
3. Storage - 64 GB (Minimum 500 MB free storage space)
4. Camera Resolution - 5MP or greater
5. Face RD Service (AadhaarFaceRd)

Note: Android OS-However, rooted mobiles, where the OS of the mobile has been changed, cannot be used. Also, make sure you have Aadhaar number registered with the pension disbursing authority

How to register for Face Rd Service (AadhaarFaceRd)?

Step 1: Visit the Google Play Store and download the AadhaarFaceID app.
*Note - Make sure you download the right app by the UIDAI
Step 2: Provide the appropriate authorizations on the app
Step 3: Complete operator authentication and scan the operator's face.
*Note - This is a one-time process. Pensioners might also work as operators.
Step 4: The device is now ready for Digital Life Certificate generation and pensioner authentication.
Step 5: Fill in the pensioner information.
Step 6: Scan a live photograph of your face (pensioner).
*Note: Use proper lighting to photograph a front pose with a neutral expression.
Step 7: Click Submit

A message with a link to download Digital Life Certificate will be sent to the mobile number provided during pensioner authentication.

Points to Note

1. Jeevan Pramaan client software (Windows/Android) will require a biometric fingerprint/ iris scanner device.
2. Biometric device is not required for Jeevan Pramaan Face App (Android), the app uses the camera of the mobile phone to capture the face.
3. The Jeevan Pramaan (AadhaarFaceRd) face app is only available in India; it is not available anywhere else.
