How To Update E-KYC Details In SBI Without Visiting Bank Branch?

Customers are expected to update their KYC on a regular basis in accordance with the RBI mandate. As a result, customers whose KYC updates are past due receive reminders via several channels, including SMS. Customers are required to update their customer details and obtain identification documents on a regular basis, according to the Reserve Bank of India's Know Your Customer standards. Here's how to update your kyc information in your sbi bank account.

What is KYC?

KYC stands for "Know Your Customer," and it refers to the process of identifying customers. It entails making reasonable efforts to determine the true identity and beneficial ownership of accounts, the source of funds, the nature of the customer's business, the reasonableness of operations in the account in relation to the customer's business, and so on, which allows banks to manage risks prudently. The KYC requirements aim to prevent banks from being used for money laundering by criminal elements, whether purposefully or unintentionally.
