Indian Railways catering services provider, IRCTC has announced new update in booking reservation tickets for future travel plans. With effect from November 1, 2024, IRCTC has halved the timeline required to book reservations to 60 days from earlier 120 days. Notably, this new update does not apply to all the reserved tickets booked before November 1. Here is a step-by-step guide to reserve tickets online.
IRCTC 60 Days Timeline:
As per the regulatory filing, IRCTC announced that it has reduced the Advance Reservation Period (ARP) to 60 days instead of 120 days. However, it added, there is no change in the number of trains running daily. Hence, the reserved ticket capacity will be the same as it is now.
