Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) discovered that the issue of verifying the genuineness of your Aadhaar number is frequently faced by several organization when it is given to them as an identity proof and offered several ways to cross check the credentials.

• Choose 'Aadhaar Verification' option or click this link https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/verifyAadhaar to verify Aadhaar card
• Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number of 16-digit virtual ID
• Enter the captcha code shown on your screen. Request a One Time Password (OTP)
• You will receive a "One Time Password (OTP)" on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP on the website
• After entering the OTP, you will be redirected to a new web page which will give a message saying whether your Aadhaar number is genuine or not.
• Next to the message, other Aadhaar information such as name, state, gender and other details are displayed in the message. If this takes plae, you have a genuine Aadhaar number
