Karnataka SIR 2026: How to Check Online If Your Name Is Flagged Under the ASDDO Category Before the Deadline

SIR in Karnataka is currently ongoing full-fledgedly as the Election Commission of India (ECI) across Karnataka is carrying out verification drives to clean and update the state's voter list.

Under the Special Intensive Revision 2026 of electoral rolls, the Election Commission is using a method called ASDDO to identify Voters who are unverified or incorrectly listed.

Karnataka SIR

The house-to-house verification for SIR is currently ongoing and is extended until August 8th. The Draft Electoral Roll is scheduled for publication on August 17th, and the final Electoral Roll is scheduled for release on October 19th.

What is ASDDO?

ASDDO is a classification method which is being used by the Election Commission during SIR in Karnataka of electoral rolls. The Abbreviation stands for:

A-Absent: Means the voter wasn't available or found during the BLO's field verification
S - Shifted: Means the voter appears to have moved from their registered address
D - Duplicate: Means the same voter appears to have multiple entries in the rolls
D - Dead: Means Voter has been reported as deceased
O - Others: Any other case flagged for further verification

It should however be noted that being on the ASDDO list does not mean you're automatically removed from the voter rolls, it means your record needs verification before the final roll is prepared.

Voters in Karnataka can now check online whether their names have been flagged under the ASDDO category as part of the ongoing SIR in the state.

So far, more than 1 crore of the state's 5.54 crore registered voters have been put under this category as of August 4 as per ECI data. Exactly 1,11,07,461 voters had been classified under ASDDO.

How to verify online if your name has been flagged under ASDDO category

Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukumar launched an online portal which will help voters to verify online if their name has been flagged under ASDDO category. The District-wise ASDDO lists are available on the CEO's website. Here are the steps to check the status:

Step 1: Visit the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka's ASDDO portal (ceo.karnataka.gov.in)
Step 2: Select your district from the list provided
Step 3: Open or download the district-wise ASDDO list
Step 4: Search for your name or EPIC/ voter ID details within it

What To do If You're Wrongly Flagged

Voters who find that their names have been incorrectly put under the shifted, absent, or any other ASDDO category can visit their Booth Level Officer (BLO) and prove that they are still residing at their registered address. The BLO will then verify your residence and issue you the required enumeration form to correct or retain your record.
