The Life Insurance Corporation of India has announced a number of reliefs for victims of the rail accident in Odisha's Balasore district.
The national insurance stated that it will expedite claim settlements in order to provide financial relief to the train disaster victims.

Shri Siddhartha Mohanty, Chairman of LIC, conveyed his condolences and expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the victims and their families.
Many incentives were announced by LIC to help claimants of LIC Policies and the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
"In lieu of registered death certificates, list of casualties published by Railway Authorities, Police or any State or Central Government Authorities will be accepted as proof of death," according to a press release.
A Special Help Desk has been established at the Divisional and Branch levels for claim-related issues and assisting claimants.
To ensure that claimants are contacted and that claims are resolved as soon as possible for the impacted families.
The Corporation indicated that claimants should contact the nearest Branch/Division/Customer Zone for additional help. Claimants can also phone a 24-hour helpline at 02268276827.
