The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched selected interactive WhatsApp services for its registered LIC Policyholders, allowing them to access benefits from the comfort of their own homes. Policyholders who have registered their policies on the LIC portal will be able to use these WhatsApp services. let's take a look on how to use this service.

How to Use the LIC WhatsApp Service

A user who has his policy registered only needs to text "Hi" to 8976862090. The chatbot will then present the client with 11 options. In order to use the services, the customer must simply respond with the concurrent serial number.

How to Register a Life Insurance Policy on the LIC Portal?

• Visit www.licindia.in, select the "new User" tab, create your own user ID and password, and fill out all of the necessary information. You have now become a Portal user.
• To use e-Services, go to the "e-Services" tab, login with the user-id you created, and fill out the form to register your policies for using e-Services.
• Print the form, sign it, and then upload the scanned image.
• Upload a scanned copy of your PAN card, Aadhaar card, or passport.
• Following verification by our offices, you will receive an acknowledgement e-mail and SMS. You are now ready to use our e-services.

Who is eligible to use LIC's e-Services?

All of our valued customers who have a policy on their lives or the lives of their minor children. Registration on the LIC Portal is required to use the LIC's e-Services.

Can I include policies covering my family members' lives?

In addition to policies for your own life, you can register policies for the lives of your minor children. As soon as the children reach the age of majority, a separate user-id must be created for them to access e-services for policies affecting their lives.

How do I enter my new e-Services policy number?

Log in with your user ID and add the new policies using the "Enroll policies" option on the LIC's e-Services Home Page.
