If you are customer of SBI Bank and misplaced your card, you can now follow four simple methods to block your card immediately soon after you have lost it.
Blocking the card will ensure that no one is able to misuse it. Your next step towards blocking your ATM card should be to keep the card number and associated account number handy from where you can access these details without any hassle. Choose one of the methods below that you find convenient for blocking your ATM card:
1. Block the card through SMS
You can block your lost or misplaced ATM card simply by sending a SMS "BLOCKXXX" to 567676 from your registered mobile number (Here XXXX indicates the last 4 digit of your ATM card).
2. Block the card using 24x7 helpline number
You can also block your ATM card simply by calling the helpline numbers, (800-11-22-11/1800-425-3800/+9180-26599990). You will be required to press 2 for blocking the SBI card. You need to enter the last 5 digits of the account number to block your card. The SBI helpdesk will ask some specific details about the card owner before they begin the process of blocking the card. After your card is blocked, you will get a confirmation to your registered mobile number.
3. SBI Quick Mobile Application
You can also block the card simply by visiting SBI Card mobile app. The card owner will have to perform this process through their registered mobile number only. In order to block the card, you need to enter the last 4 digits of card.
4. SBI Online
If you seek to block the ATM card, you need to visit onlinesbi.com filling your username and password. Now choose the option "ATM Card Services". You will find block atm card link in e-Services tab. Choose the account for which you seek to block the ATM card. You will find all active and blocked cards and you will also see the first 4 and last 4 digits of the ATM card. Now you need to select the card that you desire to block and click on "Submit" option.
You will have to cross-check the details and confirm. Choose authentication mode as either SMS OTP or Profile Password. Now you have to enter OTP password or profile password and press Confirm. You will get a success message with a Ticket No after you have blocked the card. Keep the ticket number safe for future reference.
5. SBI Branch
In case you find the aforementioned steps difficult, you may visit the nearest SBI branch to block your card.
