Pensioners Can Get Jeevan Pramaan ID Generated At Their Doorstep: Here's How

Pensioners be it from the government sector, ex-service men or those who are invested into pension plans of different organization need to engage in an annual exercise every year in the month of November i.e. they need to submit their life certificate or Jeevan Praman to the bank, post office or the organization with which they maintain a pension account to continue receiving pension.

And now though for some pensioners' the process of getting the Jeevan Praman has been eased through the introduction of Digital Life Certificate or DLC, not every pensioner will be able to secure it through the stated mode as it requires one to be tech-savvy.

To overcome this challenge amid the Covid 19 pandemic and help the elderly pensioners, IPPB or India Post Payments Bank has come up with a new doorstep DLC service.

Doorstep DLC Service for pensioners

As part of the service, postman from the nearest post office on request of the pensioner carrying Aadhaar-based biometric fingerprint scanner would visit him or her and execute the process of generating DLC at the pensioner's home only.

Documents required for getting DLC issued at pensioner's doorstep or at the nearest post office

1. Pension Id
2. Pension payment order or PPO
3. Registration of the aadhaar with the pension disbursing agency done already
4. Bank account details
5. Contact number
6. Aadhaar number

Further other details required are type of pension, pension sanctioing authority, pension accont details.

And as you give your authorization for the DLC generation request over the scanning equipment, the DLC will be generated instantaneously and Jeevan Pramaan ID will be sent to your mobile.

Also, your certificate details will be auto-uploaded with the concerned pension department.

Cost for doorstep biometric enabled DLC:

For paperless issuance of Aadhaar based biometric enabled DLC, the cost is a meager Rs. 70 inclusive of taxes.
