SBI YONO App Now Accepts UPI Payments From Non-SBI Account Holders
The State Bank of India (SBI), one of the largest public sector banks in India, has taken a significant step towards enhancing convenience and accessibility in digital payments. United Payments Interface (UPI) payments from any bank customers are now accepted by the SBI YONO app. This suggests that using UPI services on its YONO mobile app is now possible without having an SBI bank account.

How can non-SBI account holders use SBI YONO App?
- The SBI YONO App is accessible from both the iPhone App Store and the Google Play Store.
- Click "Register Now" for making UPI payments
- Select the registered mobile number
- An SMS will be sent from the selected mobile number to confirm your number.
- This message will be subject to standard SMS fees.
- The registration process only accepts Indian mobile numbers.
- Once your phone number has been verified, you must select your bank to create a UPI ID. You have the option of typing in or selecting your bank's name from a list.
- Your SBI Pay registration has begun, according to the notification you are currently receiving. If it's not you, kindly notify your bank right away.
- At the top of your screen, you may see your bank account number. The next step is to create an SBI UPI handle. You can choose one UPI ID from a list of three that SBI will supply.
- Choosing a UPI ID will prompt you with the message "You have successfully created an SBI UPI handle." You may see the UPI handle you selected on the screen.
- You must set up an MPIN in order to access your account and start sending payments. The next step is to establish a six-digit MPIN that will be active forever so that you can access your account. The MPIN must have six digits, per the requirement. The bank has also provided detailed instructions on how to select the MPIN's numeric value. Prior to establishing your MPIN, carefully read it.
- You can use the YONO SBI app to make UPI payments after setting an MPIN.
You can pay with UPI by scanning any QR code with the UPI YONO App. Additionally, you can move funds between accounts, send money using a UPI ID or a number, request others to send you money, and send money to any of your connections. By selecting the transaction history link, you can also check your balance and previous transactions.
