EOL Index 2020: Top 10 Cities to Live and Work in India

Bengaluru, among Indian cities with populations of more than a million people, has emerged as the best city in terms of ease of living in 2020, announced by Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on March 4.

The Ease of Living Index (EoLI) is a metric for assessing the quality of life and the effects of various urban planning initiatives. It gives a holistic picture of participating cities across India, based on their quality of life, economic viability, and long-term sustainability and resilience.

Bengaluru, followed by Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Surat, Navi Mumbai, Coimbatore, Vadodara, Indore, and Greater Mumbai were the top performers in the Million+ group.
