The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently issued useful advice to safeguard the use of the mAadhaar app. The UIDAI has stated that mAadhaar app users would be required to provide a 4-digit passcode in order to utilise any Aadhaar services such as Aadhaar lock/unlock, biometric lock/unlock, and so on. Regarding the same, UIDAI recently suggested to mAadhaar users on its Twitter handle that "Set a 4-digit passcode for your #mAadhaar app. This passcode will be required if you use any services related to the selected Aadhaar profile like Aadhaar Lock/ Unlock, Biometric Lock/ Unlock, VID generator, eKYC etc." By following this advice and generating a passcode, Aadhaar cardholders will be able to have secure use of their mAadhaar app. So to create a 4-digit passcode, follow the ways covered below:
How to create four-digit passcode for mAadhaar app?
Aadhaar card users using the mAadhaar app must click on 'Register My Aadhaar' and enter a 4-digit passcode of their choice to generate a 4-digit passcode. To download and utilise the mAadhaar app services with a passcode, simply follow these easy instructions.
- Open the default app store of your mobile phone and search for the mAadhaar app.
- Now on the mAadhaar page, tap on the 'Install' button.
- Now allow all the required permissions and select language and proceed.
- Now set a 4-digit password for your app, you must keep this password secure as it will be required every time you log in to the app.
- Enter your Aadhaar-registered mobile number to generate the OTP.
- Enter and verify the received OTP, and upon successful verification, you will be allowed to avail mAadhaar services from your smartphone.
How to manage mAadhaar app?
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) also recently revealed how mAadhaar app users can obtain mAadhaar services, saying that there are three tabs in the app which are designed as Aadhaar services, personalised Aadhaar profile, and Aadhaar enrolment center. The mAadhaar app provides access to all Aadhaar online services, including downloading Aadhaar card, creating a customized Aadhaar profile, and identifying the nearest Aadhaar enrolment center and so on.
About the three sections in mAadhaar app to avail Aadhaar services, UIDAI has also recently informed the users that "Your #mAadhaar has three major sections: Aadhaar Services Dashboard - Single window for all Aadhaar online services for Aadhaar holder, My Aadhaar Section - Personalised space for the Aadhaar profiles you add and Enrolment Center Section - For locating the nearest enrolment center."
UIDAI has also released the most recent version of the mAadhaar app. To access all Aadhaar services in a new way, UIDAI has advised customers on its Twitter handle that "To experience the new and updated features and services in the #mAadhaar app, uninstall any previously installed versions.
