The introduction of UPI payments has made it easy and convenient for the account holders, whether it is a small payment or a big one. A user can easily make payments anywhere in the country within a few seconds and in most cases, the payments are completed in a few seconds. However, in some cases, the money gets stuck or the UPI payments fail. It is rather confusing for the user to figure out what to do in those situations.

Here is detailed information about what you should do when a UPI transaction starts failing.
Why are UPI payments failing?
There are certain rules you should keep in mind if you are a user of the UPI payment service. Below are some of the reasons why UPI payments are failing:
• The daily limit of the UPI transaction might have been exceeded - a user gets only a limited number of transactions to do in 24 hours of time. The transaction limit for most banks is 10 in 24 hours, so if you have exceeded the transaction limit, you should try again after 24 hours.
• Making payments with wrong details - Before making payments from UPI, you should carefully check your UPI Pin, the receiver's details, and turn on the location to keep track of the payment. A wrong UPI pin can result in a failure of UPI payment.
• Insufficient bank account balance - Before making a UPI payment, always check your current balance in the bank account, as an insufficient bank balance is one of the reasons why UPI payments fail.
What to do in the case of a bank server down?
In very few cases, the bank is unable to make UPI payments for internal reasons, but it gets fixed quickly. In some cases, you will see the time when your bank server will be active. You should try making payments after that time. If you don't see the time, you should wait a while and try again to make a successful payment.
What should you do in the case of payment processing?
While using UPI payments, there are cases where a user gets feedback on payment processing. In those cases, if your money is debited from your bank account, the payment will most probably be successful after some time. However, if the payment is not credited to the receiver's account, your money will be debited to your bank account within 48 hours of time.
