In this situation first, you need to relax your nerves, and avoid panicking. It might not be an easy task to collect the stuck ATM card from the machine. You need to follow a few things such as:

Cancel the transaction - Press the cancel button on the machine and wait for a few seconds.
Check the transaction - Check to see if your transaction has been cancelled.
Contact Bank - If the card still does not come out, contact your bank right away.
Report the Details - Report the incident with the name of the bank, the time, and the location.

  • If you were using an ATM of the same bank as the ATM card, the bank may be able to retrieve the card and give it to you.
  • While other banks' ATMs will block your card and provide you with a new one. Most banks offer this service for free. But it is recommended, you should check it with your bank.
