WhatsApp is one of the best Android messaging apps for some of the best Android phones. To facilitate money transfer in India, the WhatsApp Pay feature uses the country's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) framework. WhatsApp Pay offers you to send and receive money from your contacts. What is WhatsApp Pay?
WhatsApp Pay is a payment service launched by Facebook's WhatsApp messaging app. It competes with Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, and other online payment platforms and is based on the unified payments platform (UPI). In the most recent version of WhatsApp, the payments button is located directly next to the attachments button. Previously, this option was hidden behind the attachment icon.
How to set up account?
Open WhatsApp and click on the three dots on the top right side of the app.
Now, Select the 'Payments' option.
Select 'Add Payment Method'.
Click on 'Accept and Continue'
Select the bank
A sms will be sent for verification to the registered mobile number.
After verification, Set a UPI Pin for making payments.
How to send and receive payments?
Open whatsapp
Select the contact you want to send money and open the chat
Click on the clip icon
Now, select the payment option.
Enter the amount
Enter UPI PIN and Payment will be made.
If the sender or receiver has not set up whatsapp pay then payment can be made by entering WhatsApp Pay UPI ID
Send money using QR code
Open WhatsApp
Click on 'More Options'
Select Payment' and then tap 'QR Code'
Scan the QR code
Enter the amount
Now Enter your UPI PIN
Sending money using UPI ID on WhatsApp
Open WhatsApp
Go to settings and tap on 'Send Payments' or You can open the chat of the contact you want to send money and click on clip icon
