Gold Rate Today, 26-09-2026: 24k,22k,18k Gold Prices Tumble in Bengaluru, Chennai & Hyderabad

The yellow metal has been under pressure this week with gold prices today undergoing another sharp decline across major Indian cities on Saturday.

The fall in gold prices today in Bengaluru, Chennai & Hyderabad is because of the weakness in the global bullion market, dragging domestic rates lower.

Gold Rate Today

"Gold and silver eased toward a weekly loss as a stronger dollar and rising bets on prolonged high US rates weighed on sentiment, with Treasury yields hitting multi-decade highs. Oil spiked nearly 3% on a Houthi attack on Saudi Arabia before easing on US-Iran Strait of Hormuz talks." said Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of IBJA and Chairman at Jain International Trade Organisation.

"Two Fed officials hinted more hikes may be needed, pushing December hike odds to 71% from 53%. Technically, gold holds support at 4,250-4,450 (Rs 150,000-154,000), with buying favored above $4,300; silver supports at 62.5-67.5 (Rs 230,000-242,000), with buying favored above $64, both targeting the respective upper ranges,"he further added.

Gold Rate in Bangalore Today

On 26th September, the 22-carat gold rates in Bangalore today declined by Rs.150 to cost Rs.1,39,950. Meanwhile, 24-carat gold now retails for Rs. 1,52,680 per 10 grams, which dropped by Rs.160. Just like that, 18-carat gold rates in Bangalore also fell by Rs.120 to retail at Rs. 1,14,510 per 10 grams.

Gold Prices in Chennai Today

The sharp fall was seen in the Gold rate in Chennai as well. The 24-carat gold rate in Chennai cost Rs. 1,52,730 per 10 grams, while the 22-carat gold rate in Chennai dropped and now retails at Rs. 1,40,000 per 10 grams which fell by Rs. 100.

Gold Rate In Hyderabad

Following Chennai and Bengaluru's lead, gold prices in Hyderabad today fell across purities. The 24 karat gold rate in Hyderabad is now available at Rs. 1,52,680 which fell by Rs. 160. While the 22 karat gold rate in Hyderabad fell by Rs.150 and now retails at Rs. 1,39,950 per 10 gram.

Gold Future Price On MCX

Trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) is closed today so the gold futures for October 5th delivery closed in red down 0.12%, at Rs. 1,50,700 per 10 grams at the time of writing. Similarly, the silver futures prices for the December 4th expiry ended in gains by 0.65%, trading at Rs. 2,35,000 per kg.

According to ICICI Direct Commodity Report, "MCX Gold October is expected to find support near Rs. 149,500 and rebound towards Rs. 153,000 to Rs. 154,000 levels.MCX Silver December is expected to hold its ground near Rs. 230,000 and rebound towards Rs. 238,000 to Rs. 240,000 levels."
