Gold Rate Today Drops 2% as Middle East Tensions Lift Oil; Latest 22K, 24K, 18K Gold, Silver Prices in Delhi

Gold prices opened the week on a weaker note, extending Saturday's decline as geopolitical tensions and expectations of higher-for-longer interest rates weighed on bullion. In Delhi, the price of 24 Karat gold fell by Rs 142 to Rs 14,306 per gram, while 22 Karat gold declined by Rs 130 to Rs 13,115 per gram. Silver prices, however, remained unchanged at Rs 235 per gram and Rs 2,35,000 per kilogram.

The weakness was also visible on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), where gold futures for the August 5 contract opened at Rs 1,42,633 per 10 grams, down Rs 845 or 0.58 per cent from the previous close of Rs 1,43,478.

Gold and silver prices remained under pressure after falling by up to 2 percent in the previous session, as fears of a possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz pushed crude oil prices sharply higher. Rising oil prices have revived concerns that inflationary pressures from the escalating conflict in the Middle East could keep global interest rates elevated for longer, reducing the appeal of non-interest-bearing assets such as gold.

24K Gold Rate Today in Delhi

The price of 24K gold in Delhi declined sharply on Monday. 1 gram of 24K gold was priced at Rs 14,306, down Rs 142 from the previous session. 8 grams cost Rs 1,14,448, marking a decline of Rs 1,136, while 10 grams were priced at Rs 1,43,060, down Rs 1,420. For bulk buyers, 100 grams of 24K gold were available at Rs 14,30,600, reflecting a fall of Rs 14,200.

22K Gold Rate Today in Delhi

22K gold prices also moved lower across all quantities. 1 gram of 22K gold was priced at Rs 13,115, down Rs 130. The price of 8 grams stood at Rs 1,04,920, registering a decline of Rs 1,040, while 10 grams were available at Rs 1,31,150, down Rs 1,300. Meanwhile, 100 grams of 22K gold were priced at Rs 13,11,500, a drop of Rs 13,000 compared with the previous day.

18K Gold Rate Today in Delhi

The price of 18K gold also remained under pressure. 1 gram was priced at Rs 10,733, down Rs 107 from the previous session. 8 grams cost Rs 85,864, declining by Rs 856, while 10 grams were priced at Rs 1,07,330, down Rs 1,070. For larger purchases, 100 grams of 18K gold were available at Rs 10,73,300, reflecting a decline of Rs 10,700.

Silver Rate Today: Check Latest Silver Prices Per Kg and Gram on 13 July 2026

Silver prices in Delhi remained unchanged on Monday, offering stability even as gold prices witnessed a sharp decline. The price of silver stood at Rs 235 per gram, unchanged from the previous trading session.

For larger quantities, 8 grams of silver continued to be priced at Rs 1,880, while 10 grams remained steady at Rs 2,350.

Similarly, silver rates for bulk purchases also showed no movement. 100 grams of silver was priced at Rs 23,500, while 1 kilogram (1,000 grams) continued to trade at Rs 2,35,000, the same as the previous day.

"For gold, the implications are twofold. In the near term, a hawkish policy stance, elevated inflation expectations of 3.3%, and the prospect of further rate hikes have weighed on prices, with gold falling 0.75% to $4,075 and remaining roughly 27% below its January peak of $5,589," said Justin Khoo, Senior Market Analyst - APAC, VT Markets.
