Gold prices in Delhi extended their losing streak for the second consecutive session this week on Tuesday, although the decline remained modest as investors stayed cautious ahead of key US inflation data. The price of 24 Karat (24K) gold slipped by Rs 11 to Rs 14,295 per gram, while 22 Karat (22K) gold fell by Rs 10 to Rs 13,105 per gram.

Over the past two trading sessions, 24K gold has declined by Rs 143 per gram, translating into a sharp Rs 14,300 fall per 100 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged for the third straight day, holding steady at Rs 235 per gram and Rs 2,35,000 per kilogram in Delhi.

Globally, bullion traded in a narrow range as escalating US-Iran tensions pushed crude oil prices higher, fuelling inflation concerns and strengthening expectations that the US Federal Reserve could keep interest rates elevated for longer. Investors are now awaiting the latest US inflation data, which is expected to provide fresh cues on the Fed's policy path.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

The price of 24K gold in Delhi declined by Rs 11 on Tuesday to Rs 14,295 per gram. For larger quantities, 8 grams of 24K gold was priced at Rs 1,14,360, down Rs 88, while 10 grams cost Rs 1,42,950, reflecting a decline of Rs 110. Meanwhile, the price of 100 grams slipped by Rs 1,100 to Rs 14,29,500.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

22K gold also witnessed a modest decline, with the price easing Rs 10 to Rs 13,105 per gram. The rate for 8 grams stood at Rs 1,04,840, down Rs 80, while 10 grams was available at Rs 1,31,050, a fall of Rs 100. For bulk purchases, 100 grams of 22K gold was priced at Rs 13,10,500, down Rs 1,000 from the previous session.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

The price of 18K gold also remained under pressure, slipping Rs 8 to Rs 10,725 per gram. The cost of 8 grams fell by Rs 64 to Rs 85,800, while 10 grams was priced at Rs 1,07,250, down Rs 80. Similarly, 100 grams of 18K gold was valued at Rs 10,72,500, registering a decline of Rs 800 compared with Monday's closing price.

Silver prices remained unchanged for the third consecutive session in Delhi on Tuesday, reflecting a stable trend in the precious metals market. The white metal continued to trade at Rs 235 per gram, with no change from the previous day.

The price of 8 grams of silver remained steady at Rs 1,880, while 10 grams continued to be priced at Rs 2,350, both unchanged compared with Monday's rates. 100 grams of silver held firm at Rs 23,500, while 1 kilogram (1,000 grams) remained stable at Rs 2,35,000, indicating no movement in prices for the third straight trading session.

"Gold prices fell as renewed US-Iran military strikes near the Strait of Hormuz revived inflation fears and hawkish Fed bets. Fed minutes showed a divided committee, with September rate-hike odds rising to 62-64%. China's central bank bought 14.93 tonnes of gold in June, its biggest monthly purchase since 2023," said Mr. Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd., President of IBJA.
