Weak US Jobs Data Lifts Gold, Silver Prices
Globally, bullion was heading towards its first weekly gain since the week ended May 29, advancing around 2.2% as weaker-than-expected US non-farm payroll and private payroll data eased concerns that the US Federal Reserve may keep interest rates higher for longer.
Adding further support, the US dollar remained on track for a weekly decline, making dollar-denominated gold more affordable for overseas buyers and boosting demand for the yellow metal.
