Gold Rates Today Climbed; 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices At IBJA, Tanishq, Joyalukkas, Kalyan, Malabar On July 27
Gold rates today witnessed a sharp climb across top jewelers in India on Monday, tracking the buying trend in global bullion market as plans of negotiation stirred again between US and Iran as they paused over two weeks of airstrikes during the weekend. Investors observe the situation in the Middle East while awaiting the monetary policy outcomes of the US Federal Reserve, which is scheduled for later this week. Across the board, 24-carat, 18-carat, and 22-carat gold prices surged on July 27, 2026; however, their trajectory remains volatile as the odds of a rate hike are around 30% from the Fed in July policy. Also, US dollar and crude oil prices remain elevated, which caps upside in safe haven assets.

What Is Impacting Precious Metals Today?
As per Prithviraj Kothari, Managing Director at RiddiSiddhi Bullions Ltd, gold and silver had a volatile week, driven by conflicting forces - rising Middle East tensions boosted safe-haven demand, while a sharp shift toward hawkish Fed rate expectations pulled prices back down. Gold hit a two-week high above $4,150 before falling under $4,100 after strong US jobs and PMI data raised the odds of another rate hike. The dollar and Treasury yields strengthened, adding pressure on bullion, while the rupee briefly weakened before recovering on RBI support.
With the Fed's decision due next week and Gulf tensions unresolved, Kothari added, "both metals remain highly sensitive to news, with clear support and resistance levels ahead. Key levels to watch: gold support between $3,950-4,000 and resistance at $4,150; silver support between $56.50-57.00 and resistance at $61.50-63.00."
