Sharp Crash In Gold Rate Today in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad: Massive Fall in 24K, 22K, 18K Gold Prices Aug

Yellow metal prices recorded a huge decline this morning for the second day in a row. Meanwhile, 24 carat yellow metal price in India today fell by Rs. 710 to Rs.1,52,890 per 10 grams

Silver prices on the other hand were unchanged in India today for the third consecutive day and those who want to buy 1 kg silver, need to pay Rs. 2,55,000. Meanwhile, 100 grams of silver is retailing at Rs. 25,500.

Gold Rate in Bangalore

On August 14, the 22-carat gold rates in Bangalore today declined by Rs.710 to cost Rs. 1,52,890. Meanwhile, 24-carat gold now retails for Rs. 1,40,150 per 10 grams, which dropped by Rs. 650. Just like that, 18-carat gold rates in Bangalore also fell by Rs.530 to retail at Rs.1,14,670 per 10 grams.

Gold Prices in Chennai Today

The sharp fall was seen in the Gold rate in Chennai as well. The 24-carat gold rate in Chennai crashed by Rs. 1960 per 10 grams to cost Rs. 1,53,170 per 10 grams, while the 22-carat gold rate in Chennai dropped by Rs. 1800 and now retails at Rs. 1,40,400 per 10 grams.

Gold Rate In Hyderabad

Similar to Chennai and Bengaluru's lead, gold prices in Hyderabad today fell across purities. The 24 karat gold rate in Hyderabad is now available at Rs. 1,52,890 which fell by Rs. 710. While the 22 karat gold rate in Hyderabad fell by Rs.650 and now retails at Rs. 1,14,670

Gold Future Price On MCX

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the gold futures for October 5th 2026 delivery are trading in the red, down 0.54%, at Rs. 1,52,631 per 10 grams at the time of writing. However, the silver futures prices for the September 4th expiry are trading in red as well today by 0.91%, at Rs.2,33,296 per kg.

According to the ICICI Direct Commodity Report, "MCX Gold October is expected to find support near Rs. 151,000 and rise towards Rs. 154,500 level. MCX Silver September is expected to move in a wide range between Rs. 230,000 and Rs. 237,000 level. Only a move below Rs. 230,000, it would dip towards Rs. 228,000 level."

Spot Gold And Silver Rates On August 14

According to a recent report by Reuters, "Spot gold ​was down 0.6% at $4,324.39 per ounce, as of 0538 GMT. While U.S. gold ​futures for December delivery slid nearly 1% to $4,379.20. Spot silver ⁠slipped 0.9% ​to $63.88 per ounce."
