About Axis Mutual Fund

On 27th June 2009 Axis Mutual Fund has been inaugurated as a trust incommensurate with the provisions of the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 as a sponsor with Axis Bank Limited and Axis Mutual Fund Trustee Limited as the Trustee to the Mutual Fund.

The undertaking of the trust has been registered pursuant to the Indian Registration Act 1908. On September 04, 2009 under Registration Code MF-/061/09/02 the mutual fund was registered with the SEBI. With the service portfolio of over 50 schemes and operations in more than 75 cities, Axis Mutual Fund has been able to reach over 7.5 lac shareholders over the past 5 years. The service partners played a crucial role concerning the development of Axis Mutual Fund.

The Sponsor

Axis Mutual Fund is endorsed by Axis Bank Limited. The sponsor is the colonel of the Trust of the Mutual Fund. Axis Mutual Fund Trustee Limited was assigned by the sponsor to make the initial donation to the mutual fund corpus of Rs 1 lac. Axis Asset Management Company Limited has concluded an agreement with MF Utilities India Private Limited a category II – Registrar for Issues under the SEBI Regulations (Registrars for Issue and Share Transfer Agents) 1993 for the use of MF utility as a mutual facilities project of multiple Asset Management Companies which comply as a transaction tracking gateway for single transaction instrument.

The Bank was launched in 1993 in-cooperation with Specified Unit Trust of India, Life Insurance Corporation of India, General Insurance Corporation of India, National Insurance Company Limited, The New India Assurance Company Limited, The Oriental Insurance Company Limited and United Insurance Company Limited.

Asset Management Company

Axis Asset Management Company is a public limited company registered on 13th January 2009 under the Companies Act of 1956. The Trustee Vide Investment Management Agreement of 27th June 2009 named Axis AMC named as the investment manager of the Axis Mutual Fund and implemented between the Trustee and the AMC.  Under the SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 1993. the AMC received a Certification of Registration as Portfolio Manager, INP000003534 as of 4th January 2010. There is no contradiction of interest between the operations of mutual fund and the PMS activity.

Equity Fund
