ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund is amongst the largest mutual funds in the country which managed by ICICI Asset Management Company. It is a joint venture between Prudential PLC of the UK and India's largest private sector bank, ICICI Bank. Today, the fund has more than 1000 employees operating from 120 locations. The ICICI Prudential mutual fund was developed as a trust in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Trusts Act, 1882 of the Trust Confession of 25th August 1993. The trust deed was registered under the Indian Registration Act in 1908. ICICI prudential trust limited recognized as the trustee of Fund's scheme. It was integrated under the company law of 1956. The mutual fund was enrolled with SEBI on 12th October 1993 under the registration code MF/003/93/6. Though it is a fully acquired subsidiary, ICICI Bank Ltd retains 51% of the share capital of the Trustee and Prudential

Types of ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund

Balance Fund- Balance fund is the mode of investing where investors can invest in equity shares as well as fixed income. This is the optimal fund type for a long term and moderate risk investors.

Gilt Funds- This fund is better adapted for short to long term investment. This fund is intended for those investors who are unwilling to take a risk in both the central and state government securities.

ICICI Prudential Bluechip Fund

This fund is ideal for those investors who are seeking long-term wealth creation and an open-ended investing scheme which invests primarily in large-cap stocks. Pursues the “buy and hold” strategy with a proven track record in large-cap firms, quality management and good growth opportunities. This fund employs the embracing strategy of the standard for sector selection.

Objective of the Scheme

To generate a long-term appreciation of capital and distribution of income for investors from a portfolio that is primarily invested in securities of large-cap companies. However, there can be no certainty or guarantee that the investment goal of the scheme will be achieved.

Liquidity

The scheme is an open-ended scheme and will provide sales/switch-in and redeem/switch out units at NAV based rates on any business day subject to the relevant load. In accordance with the SEBI Regulations 1996, redemption proceeds shall be dispatched by the mutual fund within 10 working days of the redemption date. A penal interest of 15% per annum or any other rate that may be administered by SEBI from time to time shall be paid in case that the payment of the proceeds of redemption is not made within 10 working days from the date of redemption.

Loads

Entry Load- No entry load will be charged to the mutual fund schemes and the distributors upfront commission will be paid directly by the investor to the distributor, based on his assessment of various factors including the service provided by the distributor.

Exit Load

1% of the applicable NAV - If the amount sought to be redeemed or switched out is invested for a period of up to one year from the date of allotment

NIL - If the amount sought to be redeemed or switch out is invested for a period of more than one year from the date of allotment.

Benchmark

NIFTY 100 TRI

The trustees retain the right to change the benchmark in future when a more appropriate benchmark is available for the investment purposes of the scheme.
