Aastha Spintex Ltd., a penny stock trading below Rs 100, is set to allot more than 4.41 crore bonus shares to its investors. The company has fixed the record date for its upcoming bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1. Eligible investors will get 1 free share on 1 existing equity share. Currently, Aastha Spintex stock is at Rs 89.79 apiece on BSE, with market cap of Rs 396.35 crore. Yesterday, the stock rallied by nearly 10% on the exchange due to volume spurs. In latest five sessions, Aastha Spintex has rallied by nearly 17%, while on a month-on-month basis, the stock zoomed by nearly 23%.

The textile maker has declared a bonus issue of 1:1 ratio, under which, it will reward investors with 1 free bonus share against 1 equity share. The face value of the shares are Rs 10 each.

In total, the company will allot 4,41,42,190 bonus shares to eligible investors.

However, to be eligible, investors must hold the company's stock by the record date in their demat account. The company fixed September 28, 2026, as the record date to identify eligible shareholders. After this, the bonus issues will be allotted on September 29, 2026.

Aastha Spintex is a textile company and its businesses include spinners, weavers, loomers , knitters, texturisers, combers, processors, producers, hosiers, habers, dashers, cripers, ginners, embroiders, bleachers, dyers, printers, cutters, finishers, blenders, carders, doublers, importers, exporters, buyers, sellers and dealers, whether in retail, wholesale, through commodity exchange or through any other medium, in all kinds of textile, yarns, fibres and fabrics whether synthetic, artificial or natural, cotton, wool, worsted shody, silk, jute, hemp, linen, viscose, rayon, artificial silk, nylon, polyester, acrylic, polypropylene, polynosic or any other synthetic fibre or fibrous material or fabrics and textile substances.

What Will Happen To Aastha Spintex Shares After Bonus?

A bonus issue is carried out by listed companies to offer free additional shares given to existing shareholders based on the number of shares owned. The reason is to distribute gains of accumulated earnings without paying cash to the shareholders.

During the bonus issue, the face value of the stock remains the same. But the share capital reserves is reduced. The number of shares increases in the portfolio of eligible investors, while the per share value reduces in the proportion to number of bonus shares issued.
