Four stocks will turn ex-bonus next week. These include GTV Engineering, PH Capital, Mold-Tek Technologies, and Mold-Tek Packaging.
PH Capital has fixed October 7th as the record date to determine eligible shareholders for its hefty bonus issue of 10:1. The ratio means that the company will reward investors with 10 free shares against 1 existing equity share. The ex-date is also October 7, 2026.
On the same day, GTV Engineering will turn ex-bonus for its 2:1 bonus issue, which means, 2 free shares against 1 existing equity share. The company will also identify eligible shareholders on October 7 for the said bonus.
The last bonus is of 1:1 ratio and will be carried by Mold-Tek Technologies. The ex-date and record date is fixed on October 9, 2026. Eligible shareholders will be able to get 1 free share against 1 equity share. Also, Mold-Tek Packaging will ex-bonus on this day for a similar bonus ratio of 1:1.
Bonus shares are one of the many corporate actions that listed companies announce on several occasions. Bonus shares are like incentives, which are free of cost given to investors. Under this corporate action, new shares are issued at the existing face value of equity shares of the company. Hence, the face value remains the same post-bonus issue.
Example: If you hold 100 equity shares in each of the companies. Then PH Capital's 10:1 bonus would give you 1,000 free shares, taking your total holding to 1,100 shares. While GTV Engineering's 2:1 bonus would add 200 shares, taking the total to 300 shares. Mold-Tek Technologies' 1:1 bonus would add 100 shares, taking the total to 200 shares.
Stock Splits Next Week
Two stocks are turning ex-split next week. These are BLS E-Services and Shankara Buildpro.
The stock split of the week will be of BLS E-Services, who will turn the ex-date on October 6 for 1:2 split ratio. The ratio means that the face value of BLS E-Services will be trimmed from Rs 10 per share to Re 5 per share, while investors' 1 equity share will be split into two shares at a smaller value.
The next split is of 1:5 ratio which will be carried by Shankara Buildpro on October 8, 2026. The split ratio means that face value of Rs 10 will be split to Rs 2 each, and 1 equity share will be subdivided into 5 equity shares.
Taking the above example: If you hold 100 shares in each company. Then 100 shares of BLS E-Services will turn into 200 shares due to the 1:2 split ratio with a face value of Rs 5 each. Similarly, 100 shares of Shankara Buildpro will become 500 shares with a face value of Rs 2 each.
Share splits mean that listed companies can split their existing shares into a ratio decided by them for a host of reasons. These could be done to improve liquidity, lessen the value of the stock, make it cheaper or simply attract new buying from both existing and new investors.
