Top losers were Reliance Infra down 7.92 percent, Rel Capital 6.38 percent, Reliance Power up 6.23 percent and Jaiprakash Asso down 5.46 percent.

Markets trades amid volatility; Sensex below 20K
Market continues trading amid tremendous volatility on Monday, Jan 17.
At 2:49 pm, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading at 18,841, down 19.5 points and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 14 points to 5,641.
Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group companies' shares like Reliance Infrastructure (top loser on Nifty), Reliance Power and Reliance Capital tanked 6-7 percent.
Capital goods, realty, metal and auto companies' shares along with heavyweight ONGC were putting pressure on markets. However, support was led by technology and financial companies' shares along with Bharti, ITC, ACC and Cipla.

Nifty on volatile, holds 5650 level
The Market has been trading on a volatile note and the benchmark Nifty was holding at 5650 level supported by technology, financial and select healthcare companies' shares.
ADAG, metal, telecom, realty, capital goods, auto companies, ONGC were on sellers radar.
At 12.50 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18916.53 up 56.09 points and NSE Nifty was 5666.90 up 12.35 points.
The most active in trading were HDFC, SBI, Larsen and Tata Motors.
The top gainers were HDFC up 2.59 percent, Axis Bank up 2.16 percent, ITC up 2.02 percent and Kotak Mahindra up 1.95 percent.
The top losers were Reliance Infra down 6.33 percent, Reliance Power down 5.65 percent, Reliance Capital down 5.09 percent and Reliance Com down 3.72 percent.

Market opens on volatile note; HDFC, TCS up
The market opened on volatile note after the massive sell off on Friday, Jan 14. The bench mark Nifty was on flat note and holding around 5600 mark.
Sterlite Industries, Sesa Goa, JSPL, PNB, ICICI Bank, Cairn, Hero Honda, Maruti and M&M were on sellers radar.
Kotak Mahindra Bank, TCS, L&T, HDFC, HDFC Bank and SAIL were witnessing buying pressure.
At 09.40 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18,949.06 up 88.62 points and NSE Nifty was 5,669.50 up 14.95 points.
The most active in trading were HDFC, Reliance Infra, SBI and Tata Motors.
The top gainers were Kotak Mahindra up 2.02 percent, Axis Bank up 1.68 percent, BPCL up 1.54 percent and ITC up 1.44 percent.
The top losers were Reliance Infra down 5.16 percent, Reliance Power down 4.76 percent, Reliance Capital down 4.27 percent and Reliance Com down 2.82 percent.
